Water Bottle Design
BUILT for Dogs was BUILT’s first concept initiative for a line of pet products. I was one of three designers chosen to work on this expansive line, with my focus being on hydration for dogs and their owners.
Research
What do dog owners typically carry with them when they go out?
What improvements can be made for hydration and storage?
After looking at various dog bottles we learned that many are cumbersome and have to be held for the dog to drink from them. Additionally, storage of the bowls often results in dog slobber getting on the bottles.
INSIGHTS: Create a stable dog bowl that the user doesn't have to hold. Keep the used bowl from getting the rest of the bottle dirty. Keep the bowl away from the drink opening in case the user wants to use the bottle as well.
